Hello All,
Hugs to everyone
I am 2 weeks post surgery for lumpectomy and SLNB. I have been managing fine, doing exercises and following instructions.
However the last couple of days I have had rib pain, breast pain and nipple pain. The pain feels like breast is ultra sensitive, shooting pains, pressure. I also have a seroma near SLNB scar that causea discomfort. I have read all this can be normal.
My question, what can I do and use medicine wise to calm it down? OTC pain relief isn't really helping.
Many thanks
Xx
Hi Mrs Cor10, sorry to hear you are in so much discomfort since having your surgery. I think it would be best to contact your breast care nurse for some advice. I have found them to be really helpful through my journey, they are so reassuring and happy to give advice. Really hope you start to feel better soon. Xx
Hi Cor10
I had exactly the same. I’m not sure if it’s the nerves repairing etc. I had a seroma too. It was between my breast and armpit. I could literally cup it in my hand. It felt like a tennis ball. What helped me was to lay flat without my bra on for an hour morning and afternoon. I also put a hot water bottle between my arm and breast. Obviously not being too hot. I could swear this helped. My seroma started to go down in a few days. It had gone after the 3 weeks,, Down side to this is that my margin wasn’t clear and the lymph node taken was positive, so now I’m a week into recovery from my 2nd op.
Hope this helps for you too. Good luck with everything
