Anyone had this? This is 2 years after I was diagnosed, have had chemo, radiation, surgery, lymph node removal and a mammogram about 6 months ago. Freaking out. Thanks
Writing and rewriting cause I’m stressed. The paper says: XR Compression Mammogram view LT. Is this a different type of mammogram? Also does LT mean left? I had cancer on the right. The radiologist did 2 mammograms on the right, cause they couldn’t get a good image, said “let’s hope we get a clear image this time” on the left, and then “should be ok” when they finished. Overanalysing… cause I’m sitting on my bed looking at the ceiling
Hi, sorry to read your understandable anxiety about the recall but there can be different reasons for a recall, as you say, it could be the image was unclear. I hope you get the recall date quickly so that this uncertainty doesn't last long. Best wishes
Thanks for your reply ️ The mammogram is on Friday and I’ve got my regular oncologist appointment on the 28th. I’ve checked for lumps and can’t feel anything so I really, really hope I don’t have a problem. I’ll stick to that thought for now.
Lt means left, compression mammogram is where a part of the breast is imaged rather than all the breast, the mammographer will use a smaller compression plate so it may pitch a little bit. It will show that part of the breast in a little more detail than a normal mammogram
