colour of breast following radiotherapy

Hi i had 5 radiotherapy sessions and moisturised following the sessions. I now have i can only describe as a tanned breast where i had my radiotherapy with a defined edge. How long will it take for my breast to go back to its normal colour? My skin isnt broken down or dry xx

Hi Lanhkawi22 welcome to the forum. Everyone is different but it can take some time for the discolouration to go back to your skin colour. I'm 6 years down the line now and my nipple is still a darker colour than my other one. However, as I said everyone is different and I also had lymphodema as well so that may make a difference. Xxxx

I'm 9 years down the line. Mine was red and hot after 15 sessions for about a couple of months afterwards - 15 was the norm but now 5 more intense sessions so reaction probably greater.

I’m 3 months post 5 sessions and it’s darker , although my nipple is paler . I’ve had mild edema but it’s been calm for a few weeks.

I’ve been wondering this. 14 months after RT I still have a tanned boob with a really clear edge of tan line from the RT beam.
