I’m two weeks post 2nd op for lump removal

theres a biggish hard lumps around where the tissue was removed

bit sore

but more just feels weird and unnatural

will it go??
did anyone else have and should I massage or do anything?
thanks

  • Hey! Answered your post on my thread too but bumping this one in case someone can answer. Check it out with your doc but it most probably will go away on its own. I’m 8 months post op and there are still hard areas on my breast where the lump was removed. Like small hard bumps. I’m generally massaging to avoid lymphoedema getting worse, but in any case moisturising and massaging can’t hurt.

  • Hiya! Yes I’m two weeks post mastectomy and reconstruction using my stomach flap (diep flap) and I have the same. My plastic surgeon has said to gently massage using e45 which I am now doing. It’s sore because so bruised but I think getting softer and slowly breaking up lumps….

  • Thanks both

im going to check with Bcn this week. I guess I’m just worrying about everything still!

  • Spoke to Bcn she says the lumps I feel are post surgery tissue trauma

soft massage now , firmer in a few weeks

    hope helpful!

  • Thanks for the update. Glad to hear all okay!
