Hi. Please can anyone who has had a PET scan share why they had it and what it showed up for them? I had one on Thursday. I already know I have stage 3 breast cancer. I see an oncologist next Thursday for my treatment plan. Thank you. Xx
Hi Gothistogether welcome to the forum. I believe that Pet scans are used to get a fuller picture with more detailed whole body images checking that all remote lymph nodes are intact and dont have any evidence of disease. That said they are used as a part of folks treatment plans and often used as a precaution.
