Travel post treatment

I went to Dubai 5 days after chemo (before radiotherapy). Main thing is making sure you get the right insurance - finding an insurance company shouldn’t be a problem though. There’s an increased risk of blood clotting - but I just getting up regularly from the seat (as everyone should) x

Hi, I travelled to Spain 2 weeks after chemo finished and just before my lumpectomy. My oncologist was happy provided I wore the compression socks, drank plenty water and walked around. I’d run it by your oncologist. When I researched online it looks like the recommended waiting time is about 4 weeks after your treatment finishes. 

Thanks I’ve spoken to my oncology team they are happy, guess work is when radiotherapy will be but with local waiting lists I’m not expecting that until late this year/early next year
