I had a mastectomy on Friday with lymph node removal and tonight the site where the drain is, is very painful and itchy. Worse than previous days. Is this normal?
Hi RKD welcome to the forum and sorry that you have not had a response as yet. Is the area hot to touch at all or inflammed looking? The main reason for asking is that these signs are usually indications of a slight infection so best to get someone to have a look at that that if you havent already.

Get them to have a look. I’d call the nurse and go in as soon as I could. Drains can cause problems sometimes. It’s best to be on top of the situation. Take care
