I'm in a worrying position. I have a 2 week wait to get into
clinic. They'll do a biopsy. But I know the cancer is back.
It's the same as last time. Mamogram didn't spot it - I've
lost all faith in them. I'll never trust one again.
I knew there was a lump coming from internal scar tissue from my cancer of 2 years ago. When you know ... you know. So I accepted the clear mamo result...because I had no reason not to ...thought I must be wrong. A month on .. its now grown and fast.
My previous cancer was her2+ e+ 3.2cm. Lumpectomy.
Cannot beleive I'm going through this again.
I wont have chemo again ... I only managed 5 of 12 last time .
Allergic to it too....plus nerve damage.
Shocked to be here again.
Hi, I am so sorry you are having all this anxiety and uncertainty again and I hope your lump on your scar tissue isn’t a local recurrence. Dr Liz O’Riodan( a breast surgeon who has had breast cancer) has had a local recurrence on her breast cancer scar and her cancer was again removed and was not metastatic grade 4. We all get anxious about our mammogram but it is the distant recurrence of our breast cancers that presently is unlikely to be cured but can be treated. Dr O’Riodan has videos on You tube if you wanted to look at them. Treatment for breast cancer is sh.t but we endure it because we have no option. Have you phoned the breast cancer nurses to see if they can get you a sooner appointment, I am sure they will be sympathetic. Hoping this waiting is over soon.
Love Dr Liz O’Riodan. Subscribed and watch her on YouTube. So informative and down to earth. I live in Florida and just think she is super.

Hello there,
So sorry you find yourself in this situation.
I had a local recurrence last year whilst still on my herceptin treatment. I had triple positive BC initially but the 2 new growths of 5mm and 1mm were oestrogen and HER2..The tests and waiting was horrible and quite prolonged.
I have since had a mastectomy, I'm 60 and for me, I was just glad to have the breast removed and so I didn't find it traumatic .This is obviously different for each person. I haven't been offered further chemotherapy but have had my oestrogen inhibitor changed with a few side effects initially but these have now all settled..
I really hope that your all results all come back negative and you don't require any more treatment .
Lots of love and hugs to you while you wait xxx
