I had a DEXA scan a few weeks ago and was told I'd hear back in a few weeks.

I've had a letter today from the osteoporosis clinic telling me I have a telephone appointment on 26 February.

Now I'm panicking in case they've found something wrong with my bones !

Has anyone else had an appointment after their DEXA scan. Is this just routine ?

Any thoughts would be appreciated thank you everyone xx

Hi, I have had 2 DEXA scans and didn't get any calls. I have a feeling My GP requested the scan and I could therefore access the report online in my GP account. I would think you could do the same. Fingers crossed all is good x

I didn’t get a call back, my GP telephoned me with the results. In your case all I can guess at is maybe they didn’t get a clear scan and want to do it again. I hope all goes well for you x

Oh dear now I'm worried I have osteoporosis on top of everything else !

Please try not to worry, as I said it could that your scan needs doing again because it didn’t take the first time. Xx
