Finished Herceptin. Follow up?

Hi, have had oncology appointment yesterday, finished Kadcyla (Herceptin) beginning of December had my last echo in November.  He said that’s it, heart scan was good so no more needed.

My echos stopped when the herceptin stopped. My understanding is that you are no longer at risk of heat problems once you stop taking it. Love from the coffee fiend. 

I had 18 cycles of herceptin and had to have 4 echos over the year afterwards, final one a year after treatment finished. All was good though, maybe it is different from one pct to another x

Interesting hearing different experiences. The drug company seem to advise follow up for a year after treatment finishes but thats not what im being offered. Each trust must decide themself or something

Yes, I think so, it’s interesting on here because there are regional differences in experiences and advice. Then you add in our individual consultants opinions and you can get a lot of sometimes conflicting info x

It is interesting. I had 18 herceptin too and echos every 3 months same as  Anna12345  but no further echos scheduled after that. I’ve spotted a range of local variations since my journey started.  xx
