Covid boosters out of stock?

Hi everyone, first time posting. I’m 37F, IDC grade 2, ER+, PR+, HER2-. 1 month post lumpectomy and SLNB, due to start adjuvant therapy soon (chemo, SLNB, rads, hormone blockers).

My oncologist has recommended I get a Covid booster but I’m struggling to find where to get this. The NHS website no longer does bookings and says to go to a walk-in service, but every pharmacy from the list I’ve called so far says they have no stock. My Macmillan nurse said they don’t do them at the hospital and suggested I try my GP, but I just called them and they said they don’t do them… so where the hell are we supposed to go? And is there some sort of shortage at the moment? Why don’t pharmacies have any stock?

UPDATE: I also called 119 and they said they can’t do bookings anymore and said to find a walk-in centre. So I called a few more pharmacies and one of them finally knew what they were talking about as he said that the winter campaign ended last Friday and the next camoaign won’t be until spring. I asked if that would affect all pharmacies and he said yes probably. So I’m not sure what those of us whose diagnosis and treatment doesn’t conveniently fit the government’s schedule are supposed to do…

I’m literally the only person in my life who’s not had Covid and I’m not about to get it while having chemo!

Does anyone know more about what’s going on or have any ideas of what to do other than just call every single pharmacy?

UPDATE 2: Finally found a pharmacy a couple towns over that has stock and a walk-in clinic tomorrow, so hopefully we can go early before they run out!
