I have been on these two things for 5 years I was told zoladex would stop when I was 60 which was in may this year. I have now had a letter saying I can stop both. I was suppose to be on exemestane for 10 years.
I feel scared about what will happen when I stop, will it return, what will happen to my body when I stop?
Any advise welcome
Hi there, if it were me, I would want a discussion with my oncologist before stopping so maybe it's an idea to make an appointment and understand better why they now suggest this. Best wishes.
Hi April.
I’m about to start Zoladex and Exemestane (having first injection today). I have been told that you only take these drugs for 5 years, rather than 10 with tamoxifen.
Already worrying about what happens when I stop. I’m only 45 so really hope my periods won’t return as this seems to defeat the objective!
How have you found this meditation?
Debbie
Debbie I have had no problem with it, I don't lose or gain weight which I think is good, if anything no sex drive whatsoever but that didn't bother me, although my husband did leave me year and aalf ago and dud mention lack of affection, but he wasn't the one going through treatment
if you need any advise I'm happy to help
April x
