I had my first EC today. I didn't realise quite how anxious I was until it was over and it made me thankful for lovely, kind and knowledgeable staff. Home now with armfuls of (legal!) drugs and a whole rainforest's worth of info booklets. One down - 11 to go. Hang in there folks... "baby steps" is my new zen mantra
Hi Andypandy, glad all went well. Yes you do get lots of meds to take home. I always took my anti sick meds as prescribed, I didn’t wait until I felt sick. Worked a treat
Wishing you all the best

Hi Andypandy…great you’ve got the first one done! Always the worst in one way as you never really know how it will go….
yes definitely take the anti sickness ones… Also some do give you constipation which I found happened to me…if you have any Laxido or similar, take it …
wishing you all the best for the rest…honesty the weeks do pass quickly..good luck xx
Hi, I blogged a lot through my treatment but this one might be useful as it is everything I wish I'd known about chemo. Best wishes
Your sessions took 6-7 hrs? You deserve a gold medal, a circlet of wreaths and a blue plaque on your door! You are madecof sterner stuff than me... 2 hrs in and out. Well done, you
Hi Andypandy. Hope you feeling well. Not sure how to encourage you as I'm due to have my first session next week. Not sure how to handle all the stress and worries . Trying to be positive as I don't want my 18month old baba to see me crying.
All the best.
We all are to fight with this xxx
God bless you Vio, coping with this disease and looking after a baby too. I have it easy compared with you. I'm just putting one foot in front of the other every day, and ignoring jobs etc that don'need to be done immediately - life is too short to stress over trivial things and I've learned that lesson over the past few months. Cry all you need to - I burst into tears for no reason and then pull myself together for another while. I'll be thinking of you and praying for you during your treatment and that you get the strength you need to travel this hard bit of road. You certainly have a great attitude Big hugs
