I just noticed last night by the light of my phone that there is a section of skin above my nipple which looks like it’s pulling when I lie down. It isn’t inverted per se but more looks like it’s pulling across. I’ve done a bit of googling and I think the term for it is tethering. (I’ve checked in daylight today too)
it seems highly linked to breast cancer.
Have any of you noticed it on your own breast before (or heard of anyone who has)? And if so, what was it and what were the outcomes of those diagnoses?
I am very much a knowledge is power person so please tell me all!!
I have booked to see a GP on Monday morning but can’t stop thinking about it in the mean time. thank you
You’ve done exactly the right thing getting a gp appointment and insist on a referral to the breast clinic if you’re not automatically offered one. In answer to your other question, nobody can effectively answer this because even if it is breast cancer, and it may not be at all, there are so many different kinds of breast cancer and different stages and diagnosis’ that one persons outcome can be entirely different to another’s. As hard as it is try not to google too much and try not to stress yourself out, it’s so hard waiting to find out but sadly it’s the only way. Good luck x
Hello there, wish I could give you some insight but am clueless. You did the best thing by getting an appointment with GP. Take care and hugs that all is ok.
