Hi all. well I had surgery and am clear margines and nodes so all good there..however still need radiotherapy and yukky meds lol.
was wondering about the oncotypedx testing, who arranges this ? is it when I go to see clinical oncologist? or would that of happened already?
thanks
Hi, JulieToo. My surgeon told me she sent the oncotype shortly after surgery, so I didn't have to ask. Ask your breast care nurse about it. It's common practice here to offer oncotyping but I'm not sure everywhere does. The waiting period is usually 2-3 weeks but be aware that it can take much longer... mine took 7 weeks! Good luck with your results. X
My surgeon asked permission when I was back for results, she did say it would be the oncologist who would discuss results with me though when full pathology back as I was back in today for further op as margins weren’t clear
