Hi all,
I have my final cycle of chemo next week. Hopefully surgery and radiotherapy will be in the spring - so I'm not at the end of my treatment pathway.
However the chemo ward has a bell and stone which patients can ring/feel when they finish their cycles.
I really want to ring the bell because the chemo has been so tough so I'm glad to move to the next stage.
But my cancer hasn't gone yet so is it more appropriate to wait for the all-clear?!
I don't want to jinx anything
What have others done?
Thanks
Hi there
I have just had last week my second chemo. Felt so so rough and very depressed.
I had been doing so well but it just hits you sometimes doesn’t it.
I don’t know about ringing a bell although I’ve spotted it on the ward somewhere!
Absolutely fabulous that you are in your final round.
Sending you all best wishes and hugs
x
Hi Pajr1, congratulations on your upcoming final chemo treatment I don’t think there is any protocol so I say ring the bell as you have completed one huge step. Give it a good bang and if so inclined a finish chemo dance along with it.
