Hello lovely people. I am so frustrated because I’ve just been to hospital to discuss MRI results and confirm date for surgery. I’ve just been told that whilst the area of the cancer has been confirmed as 77mm, they still want to do a biopsy around the nipple as they are still not sure how much of the nipple is involved. I’m so frustrated because I had been reassured that the MRI would pick up everything, obviously that is not the case. Surgery has been pushed back yet again and yet again more waiting, it’s so hard.
Hi,
It is frustrating. I had a futher biopsies after my MRI too but it did inform the type of surgery I eventually had and to see if the other lumps were cancer or not. That said, I was given a date for surgery that allowed time for these tests although I would have liked to have had it sooner and the wait was hard. I don't have any great words of wisdom, but I wanted to let you know you are not alone and wish you all the best.
