can anyone tell me please..does Letrazole cause hair loss? and does anyone take accord or sun pharm ones? thanks
Hello there, I know that the aromatase inhibitors cause hair thinning. I am on anastrazole and my hair used to be really thick and I have had hair thinning.

I used to have thick hair but then i was put onto levo for Hypothyroid, all the side effects seem to be similar, so I am hoping hair does not thin anymore. my hair is shoulder length now ,do you think a short hair style would be more practical ?
My hair is a couple inches below my collarbone and I may trim it to shoulder length but I like my hair on the longer side. I cycle a lot outdoors and in this Florida heat I have often thought of shorter hair but I just ponytail it and off I go.
I treated myself last Xmas to the Irestore hair cap and I think it has helped me to maintain the hair I have but I didn’t take pictures. My hairdresser says my hair is healthy so that is good.

Hi, I’ve been on Letrozole since February this year. I had the SunPharm brand for the first six months then the pharmacy gave me the Accord brand. I was worried about the change of brand having read some people’s stories about worsening side effects but to be honest, hot flushes and night sweats seem to have reduced and joint and muscle pain seem to be the same - bad when first getting out of bed and after sitting for a while, but generally fine once moving around. Going up or down stairs can sometimes be a bit of a challenge but not often enough for me to consider it a problem.
I feel my hair has started thinning but I think that is due to taking Abemaciclib, also it could just be the time of year. My hairdresser says it doesn’t seem any thinner, it might just be my imagination. I thought taking prescribed calcium and vitamin D might make my nails grow a bit better, but no such luck!
All in all, for me, both brands have been ok. Don’t want to tempt fate though!
Hello, I am on Letrozole, 3 weeks now. They are the Sun Pharm ones. I had my hair done last week and the hairdresser told me my hair was getting very fine now. Had been pretty strong before. I know aromatase inhibitors can cause hair thinning. I hope not too much though.
Hi, not had any hair loss, in fact it's back thicker than ever. I was in Sun Pharma for about 20 months, briefly on Accord and now about to start Amarox. No real issues on Sun or Accord, a few aches and pains but all very manageable. Best wishes
