Magseed insertion

Hi,

I had a Magseed inserted in my breast on Friday and wondered if anyone else had had a reaction to this.

After taking the dressing off the day after, my breast felt very itchy. I’m allergic to sticky dressings so thought it was that that had caused the itchiness. It continued all afternoon and into the evening and feels like it’s the breast tissue that’s itching and not my skin. Has anyone else had this feeling? Could I be allergic to the Magseed?

It has eased a bit now I’ve taken my bra off and taken an antihistamine. Hopefully it will have gone by tomorrow

Yes, my breast felt awful after the magseed insertion. I was lucky in that it went in on Tuesday and my op was Thursday, but those 48 hours it was in I felt I wanted to claw it out of my breast. I think it was the internal tissue, you know how scabs itch when they heal.

Yes that’s exactly how I feel. It’s probably what you say, it’s the healing that’s making it feel really itchy, that makes sense. My op isn’t until next Thursday, but it feels calmer today. Thanks for your reply x

Hi, I know you posted this a few days ago and might be feeling better now but just wanted to say that I had itching, tingling and small shooting pains after my magseed was put in. I asked my breast surgeon and he wasn't concerned at all. He said that my poor breast has probably been so bruised inside from the biopsy, MRI, mammograms, etc that it is extra sensitive. Xx
