Hi
I had a therapeutic mammoplasty in January, and when that was agreed balancing surgery to reduce the other side to match was mentioned, but not until after all my treatment was finished.
I finished radiotherapy in June, and wondered how long other people had to wait to get their other side sorted out?
thanks
Well done on completing your treatment. I have had a different type of cancer so I hope you don't mind me responding. By responding to your post it will place it back at the top where it may be seen by more members.
It may be worth contacting your Consultants Secretary or your specialist nurse to query the next steps. Best wishes for the rest of your treatment.
A x
Hi,
I asked about an implant replacement following radiotherapy as my implant has shrunk and hardened making me look unbalanced. I was told it couldn’t be considered for at least 12 months as radiotherapy can affect your skin’s ability to repair.
Your breast care nurse could probably advise further on this or maybe the MacMillan nurses on here could give more information?
