Hi. I had a lumpectomy on 27th September and my steri strip is still in place. 17 days have passed now.
Should I leave it until it comes away or should I remove it?
I soaked mine off in the bath. The skin needs to breathe, better to remove and massage with bio oil or something. That's what I was advised. X

Hi PMR, I had mine removed when I I had follow up with the surgeon which was 10 days after my op. She just gently pulled them off. Then I was allow to shower as normal

I've removed it! It was well stuck on. It took me a few mins to do it but it's off now. Feels better now it's removed.
Yes it was lovely to have them removed. Mine has healed well and is just a very faint white line now. Hardly noticeable.
