Hi Djct
When I had paclitaxel last year I was given two infusions immediately before the chemo, ie using the canula when I was at the chemo unit. I forget what they both were for but I know one was steroids.
Give your chemo unit a ring and ask if you will be given anything beforehand.
thankyou for replying. yeah well am on for first thing this morning, but someone mentioned they took drugs 12 and 6 hours before but i wasn't told or given any. guess i will find out when i get there.
very fraught now, but maybe mine does same as yours an infusion first. just dont want another delay, well unless they say its completely off the table
Just coming to the end of my paclitaxel I was given no medication to take before I went for my treatment I do have a tablet and other medication through my picc line before I have the infusion .
I am offered anti sickness tablets to take home but I have had no side effects at all so no medication is needed
