Hi just wondered if my one had taken any iron supplements such as fluradix when on chemo just had 4 EC and started 1/4 of pax today h. Is 98 trying to eat all the right dietary foods , not particularly symptomatic Meant to ask the nurses today but forgot! Chemo brain !!

Best people to ask are the nurses or your doctor but I remember it being so busy on chemo days that things would slip my mind. Have you got a phone number you can call and ask?
I see that one of our Nurses has responded to you in the Ask a Nurse section so perhaps have a look at their response.
I was prescribed several supplements during my chemo last year but as they test your blood so much they only gave me what I specifically needed. I did however take a multi vitamin with their permission. They will be able to look at your bloods and see whether iron or something else is needed. I would be careful about taking the iron without asking as I had a problem with haemoglobin levels and other issues that led to a blood transfusion so it may be that taking any iron would confuse the results? Just a thought. I am sure it will be fine- but let them know.
