Does anyone on here have this? I would appreciate to speak to someone about it. My primary is breast cancer
Hi JanMB
I'm sorry to read that you have breast cancer which has spread to your bones.
I don't have the experience you're looking for but hope you don't mind me suggesting that you join and post in the secondary breast cancer group, as this will give you the chance to connect directly with others in the same position as yourself and to ask questions, share experiences and get support.
If you'd like to do this just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

So sorry to hear your news. I don't have secondary bone cancer but had treatment for primary stage 3 breast cancer earlier this year. I wondered how you found that it had spread or is it following a period of being cancer free as I'm terrified of this happening as it happened to my sister but oncologist just brushed it off and said they would find it if it spread
Ask for Signatera test. It can be used for all solid tumors. Here is the link
Used here in US quite often now. My oncologist ordered it for me even though I was stage 1. I will get results next month. Had my second mammogram on Thursday and radiologist said it was all fine. But boy did it hurt during the flattening of my little breasts. Never has it hurt before always just uncomfortable. And to top it off she needed to repeat a film in each side as she said there was a flap of skin that wasn’t flat. Phew so glad it is once a year. Has anyone else felt this much pain from the mammogram post lumpectomy?Think it has to do with the lumpectomies. I am going to ask the ARNP at my appointment in September.
take care everyone.

Hi JanMB,
I'm sorry to hear you have secondary bone cancer. I also have it from my primary breast cancer even after a mastectomy, chemo and radiotherapy. It's unbelievable to think that after all that treatment it's still there and it's a big shock to hear isn't it?
I've been on Letrozole and Abemaciclib and unfortunately neither worked for me. I am now on Capecitabine so fingers crossed.
