Tamoxifen medication

Hi Msvee1304, I have been on Tamoxifen for just over 2 months now (Mylan brand). I take my tablet in the evening. I have only had hot flushes mostly during the night. Nothing major and certainly not sweating. I get them a bit during the day too occasionally. Other than that that’s all. No other side effects.

I been told I will start them n 2 weeks.i thought it's only 1 brand didn't realise was different brands of tamoxifen!.I wish u all the best msvee1304 n for near future.xx

Has any 1 had a sentinel lymph node done?

The ingredients  of the tablets can sloghtly vary due to how the brands manufacture them..

Hi Donna81, I had 2 sentinel nodes removed. One had cancer in so I had to have an axillary clearance.

Yes and it’s the fillers in them that cause the side effects rather than actual drug itself. 

Oh I'm waitin on me results me armpit I'm avin most of the pain me breast nt alot pain after surgery if any.but the waitin is making me more nervous than anythin.what medication are u on or are takin n how long did u have ur sentinel nodes removed?lots hugs x

Hi Donna81, I had my axillary clearance 3rd Nov 22. I had 12 removed of which 9 were positive. I still have numbness and an odd feeling even now. My boob is uncomfortable and it’s fairly hard. I think it’s still a side effect from the radiotherapy.

Hi I'm starting to take it from tomorrow so read this thread. Is there a brand which most people would agree that cause less side affects, that would be handy for everyone to know.
