IV Chemo Update
Not starting treatment today. Have felt very poorly this week and have been very sick so I’m in Cheltenham Oncology (again) on IV pain relief, anti-sick, saline and initially was Nil By Mouth.
Had bloods, X-ray and CT scan done. All ok. Been to poo too! They’re keeping me in to observe over the weekend
The good news is that I’ve been reunited with my RD’s from 3 weeks ago! One of the Nurses saw my new pair and asked did I used to have another!
And Donna Ashworth has just shared one of her wonderful poems from ‘Wild Hope’, which really resonated with me tonight
We also had a full night’s entertainment, as a dementia patient on our bay tried to get into all our beds in turn, naked, thinking we looked like her grey bearded husband!
Sorry u r not feeling well and treatment has been delayed, I was diagnosed with Grade 3 invasive ductual breast cancer oestrogen positive and HER 2 positive, I had my 1st chemo last week, my treatment being done in cheltenham as I live local, found the staff amazing, hope u r better soon and it don't delay your treatment too much. X
Hi I am really surprised you are in a bay if you are going through chemo and are in due to side effects. When I was admitted I was in a separate room isolated and want allowed to leave my room. I would of thought from an infection risk that was better.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
