Anyone on here been diagnosed a second time within 20 months?
1st diagnosed end Nov 21 with ER+ & Her2+. Lumpectomy then Radiotherapy in Feb 22.
Back to clinic tomorrow with lump just outside clearance area of previous tumour.
Wanted mastectomy last time but Surgeon said breast to large 40G would have to take so much tissue and more chance of problems.
If cancer is back defo want one this time, breast about 3 cup sizes smaller now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, brain in overdrive at the moment.
Hello Callygran, I am so hoping that it is not a reoccurrence. Did you have herceptin and chemo since you were Her2+? Take care and keep us posted.
Will be thinking of you.

Thanks Hopeful Barb. I only had radiotherapy, I investigated Herceptin and Chemo and decided against it as my score gave 20% chance of recurrence. I was 69 so decided quality of life was more important and with yearly checks .Was given Letrozele but only lasted 4 weeks on it.
With hindsight it was best option for me as husband started with pain as I was ending radiotherapy, long story short he was diagnosed stage 4 colon cancer and died 8 weeks later. The 4 weeks later youngest son attended A&E , again long story short was diagnosed stage 4 lung cancer which had spread and he died suddenly 4 weeks later with pulmonary embolism.
After last year not hopeful.
