I had my first session of chemo on Friday and whilst I don't feel too bad, I am tired I am also getting ingestion which I've never had before, has anyone else had this and did you take anything for it? Thank you
Hi Lunalouwho, I started off with gaviscon but then my oncologist prescribed lansoprazole. Had one tablet every morning throughout my chemo and it worked a treat. Stopped it 3 weeks or so after my last chemo and not had any problems since. Wishing you all the best
I suffer with acid reflux , and I notice since having chemo it’s got worse, I have been drinking a glass of full cream milk before bed and l find this helps me.
Hi, I had this with chemo and was prescribed omeprazole as the usual over the counter meds didn't help. Might be worth a chat with your oncologist, best wishes
I found the steroids gave me terrible indigestion. I was given famotidine which was fantastic. Its also good for working alongside chemo to produce better outcomes.
