Hi Guys
Had my first EC today which wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be everyone was so friendly . I even met a nurse who I had trained with many years ago and guess what she had Breast cancer 2 yrs ago and is all clear looking great .
Had my hair cut really short yesterday decided not to cold cap as it adds time spent in the unit which I didn’t want to do . But I know it a personal choice so go for it if you want . I have come home with lots of anti sickness , steroids and immune boosting injections !! Had my first red wee !! Really weird !!had a funny feeling in my nose and sinuses for about 10 mins after treatment stopped .
im currently lying on the bed watching tipping point got genetic testing tomorrow just hope it’s negative when it comes back in a couple of months. Good luck to all of you lovely ladies and Gentlemen who are on the same journey whether it’s the begging or your nearly done sending love and positive vibes to you all xxxx
Isn't the red wee interesting. I was forewarned so didn't panic when it happened. Hope all goes ok for you. Don't forget about your red card nurses if you have any queries. They aren't only there to be used if you feel rough xx
Hi Bonnie Boo
pleased to hear it went well for you.
I had my first EC today with cold cap which was surprisingly ok, probably helped with the warm weather!
The sickness started in car on the way home so I am hoping the anti sickness tablets will kick in tomorrow? I also needed a rennie, and not been able to eat much, I hope this is not a sign of things to come?
currently laid wide awake in bed xx
Hi
I have had a little bit of nausea like morning sickness feeling which has passed. I have been drinking loads and managed breakfast and a sandwich for tea last evening. I can’t sleep at all !!!lay on the bed all afternoon yesterday awake . Went to see about Gentic testing yesterday and that’s another minefield !!! I hope to god I’m negative. Good luck with the rest of your treatment and well done for cold capping I chickened out xxxx
That’s good, I only managed 1/2 jacket potato before I couldn’t swallow anymore!
I think I will be having the genetic testing, waiting to get confirmation so would be interested to know more of your experience with it if you don’t mind? Xx
It is probably the steroids causing you to be wide awake - I had the same. Keep taking the anti sickness meds don't wait to be sick. If the anti sickness meds you have don't seem to work contact red card nurse and they might be able to get alternative sorted xxx
