I'm due to start chemo and I was fine until a friend asked if it's safe to be on my own after my first chemo session. I need advice...
You should be fine but make sure you have your phone and the cancer phone number near you in case you don't feel great and need some reassurance, or help.
I'm back home and don't feel too bad. I had EC and I'm having 3 more doses every 2 weeks followed by pac every 2 weeks for 8 weeks. I've got my cat for company and the helpline on speed dial!
That's lovely of your friend to be concerned. And you seem to have things in hand with your numbers etc. You also have us for support as well
I've started on EC. I wasn't planning on having anyone stay with me and spent most of the first night in the bathroom! My sister insisted on coming down on the next day and has been a great support and is going home after two days. I've finished my main sickness tablets and eating a little. I would say I probably could cope on my own from a practical point of view but it's lovely to have someone feel sorry for me!
