Hello dosent anybody know how long after surgery do you have radiotherapy I had surgery 10 weeks ago

My radiotherapy started 12 weeks after surgery. I questioned that it seemed a long time and was told that they aim to start it within 12 weeks as their 'gold standard'. I am in Bristol, UK.
