Hello Lush - before pandemic from being referred from doctors there would be a 'two week' fast track to be seen and get diagnosed following this I think most waits would be around 3 to 4 weeks..... this said, I think it all depends on treatment required and hospital waiting times.  

Now following pandemic I am not sure how much this as affected times.

Welcome to the forum and  sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  I was diagnosed with breast cancer three weeks ago and I'm having my lumpectomy next week.

I waited 30 days from confirmation of diagnosis to surgery. I think that is pretty standard(?)

Hi. I had my lumpectomy two weeks after diagnosis but I am in the fortunate position of having private Bupa cover through my work.

Thank you all for the replies.  I was told on the 28th March I had breast cancer, confirmed on the 6th April.   Still waiting for a date and I am struggling.   Got signed off from work yesterday.  The waiting is so difficult. Just want to move forward with it and have the surgery.

I waited 31 days from the appointment where I received the biopsy result to the day of surgery.

It depends where you are in the Country as well I think.

It really depends where you live. I had surgery three weeks after diagnosis but I think I was just fortunate that a surgeon had a free slot. 

The waiting is the hardest part of all !! I was diagnosed 23rd March and had my lumpectomy Saturday 22nd of April hang on in there I’m sure it will happen soon x
