TP53 gene mutation

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer.  While I haven't been tested for the TP53 gene mutation I noticed that you haven't had any answers yet so I thought I'd reply to you to move you to the top of the discussion.

Hi there.  I have had the blood test to see if I have a gene mutation.  I've been told this can take a little while so haven't had my results back as yet.  Fingers crossed for you sweets and hope all goes well for you x

I had my genetics counselling appointment today to talk about what they test for and she mentioned to me the Tp53 and said it was a new one on the panel of tests they usually offer.  She said it was very rare if that's any reassurance.  Hope all your tests come back okay.
