Hi everyone.jyst wondering how people getting on with the drug. Been on it on and off since January, came off it two weeks ago I got shringles back on it again now usual joint pain never know if it's Anastrozole or Abmeciclib
Hi. Sorry to hear you’re having joint pain. I think this is a common side effect on hormone reducing medication.
mum on tamoxifen and feel a bit stiff in the mornings. I try to go for long walks every day. I don’t always feel like it tho!
I’m also taking abemiciclib which I really struggled with at first. I was on 150mg twice a day but, I felt so sick and had lots of stomach issues. Also just felt so tired and generally unwell. My oncologist reduced the dose to 100mg which has really helped. I also take a anti sickness med before taking the abemiciclib. I still have some side effects such as a dry mouth, watery eyes etc but these I can cope with. Just annoying!
It seems to be a very strong drug which some people cope with better than others. I’ve got to stick with it!
