Hi All
I've had three cycles three weekly of EC chemo and am due to start paclitaxel weekly in a couple of weeks time.
So far the chemo I've received hasn't been pleasant but not as bad as I was probably expecting, I'm just wondering if anyone has had EC and then Paclitaxel and how they found the side effects were with the Paclitaxel please and how long they lasted.
Thanks in advance for any help with this.
Hi KMT
I had paclitaxel after EC and didn't get any side effects other than feeling tired on the evening of having it. In fact, my hair started to grow back during the 12 weeks I had paclitaxel and, by the time I'd finished, was just about long enough to stop wearing scarves.
Wishing you all the best
x
Hi
I had my first one last Wednesday, Thursday I felt great but since then I've felt really tired. I was hoping this one would be easier and it probably is but I'm a bit disappointed that as it's weekly I'm not sure I'll feel that great in time for when I have it again next week and therefore will feel even worse after my next one.
(Now you mention it, I also looked like a tomato for a few days!!).
I'd be interested to hear how you feel after your next one. How many are you having, I'm having nine.
Take care
I have had 4 Paclitaxel doses after 3 EC. I have 5 left. I have been fine on it - I was mostly ok on EC although a bit spaced out and light headed at times. I do have the odd tired wave but no other real side effects - not yet anyway - apart from the tomato face for about 36 hours!
