Fingers crossed no neutropenia but this time after 2nd cycle docetaxel I have a dry chesty cough. Temperature is fine. Anyone any suggestions on what to use to ease it
Hi F1 Petrolhead, I used honey in warm water or milk. If I had a chesty cough I used the water, if I had a dry cough I used milk. Also I used Jakemans cough sweets too.

I take antihistamines at this time of year as well just in case.
Thanks will try that. I also spoke to oncology nurse this morning and she said normal cough medicine and watch temperature. She also said get gp appt tomorrow to listen to chest but that will be a miracle if I get that.
Yes drs appointments aren’t easy to get at times. When you have your next chemo if you still have the cough the nurses on your chemo unit should also be able to listen to your chest too. When I had my first cycle the Head nurse was kind enough to listen to mine and confirmed all was clear.
Also like they say keep an eye on temperature also if you do start to feel unwell or get a temp spike ring your emergency hotline as they are really helpful and will be able to advise. I have rung mine a few times and they have helped me greatly with what to do next.

Been watching my temp all day. Max 37.2 so far. I called the emergency nurse this morning as wanted to check re meds. Will see how I go
