Hi there . Can I ask what people found worked best for them during radiotherapy treatment , cream wise , on the chest area

  • I used E45 and didn't have any skin problems.

  • Hi, I too used E45 cream and am still applying it twice a day. I finished radiotherapy at the end of October last year. I would recommend that you also do the exercises if possible.Best of luck with everything.

  • Aquamax 500ml was given to me by the radiotherapy dept, you can buy on Amazon. I've continued to use it, as works out as a very good value body moisturiser.

  • Hello,  I used Avene Cicalfate Restorative protective cream and Avene thermal spring water spray which I kept in refrigerator so so cooling and healing too.  Had no issues and my skin is super sensitive and I also have a history of eczema.  Good luck on your radiation.

    1. I used E45 and Aloe Vera which I got from boots. Both were very good but used the aloe Vera more when having the radiotherapy as it chilled the skin. It didn't stop the blistering under the bust but it did work on the rest of the skin. I now use it instead of after sun.
  • I was advised to use Aloe gel. Not used it yet as only 10 day post op. Pure Aloe Vera Gel for Face, Hair & Body - 100% Natural Organic Aloe Vera Gel for After Sun Skin Care, Soothing, Hydrating - Hand Harvested & Cold Pressed in Australia - Dermatologist Developed https://amzn.eu/d/c9RB51t

  • I used Aveeno moisturiser which I got at Boots. Several people from this site recommended it. I still use it 7 months after my op and really liked it. I did use aloe vera a few times after radiotherapy when my boob was a bit sore.

  • I Backward Betty,

used Aveeno baby moisturiser and the shower gel

no issues at all with my skin.

    good luck with treatment
