Newly diagnosed, surgery next week, issue with MRI

So after all professional stating I just had a breast cyst, I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer last month.

Did anyone else have issues with their MRI scan?  I was informed that my breast is too dense, so will have to have follow up MRI in 6 months for comparison.  Lumpectomy booked in for next week, more worried about pain relief than the surgery, as I have fibro

I have also been referred to gyny following removal of my coil on the 2 week rule, so worried about this too, especially after the nurse removing my coil asked if i was having a hysterectomy as part of the treatment

    Hi

I'm sorry to hear of your diagnosis and the worry that goes with it.  I have a different cancer to you but by responding to you, your post will go back to the top so that more members will see it. I have not had any issues with MRI so hopefully members will come forward. The only thing I would add is, don't read too much into any questions by health professionals that are not dealing with your case. If it is on your mind and you need answers, please ring your CNS/specialist nurse or you can speak to a nurse on the Macmillan helplines. This is the link to contact https://www.macmillan.org.uk/about-us/contact-us

I hope all goes smoothly with your surgery next week. Take care,

    A x
