Hi, has anyone else been dizzy when taking anastrozole.  I was really dizzy and stopped taking for a for a couple of weeks, after discussion with BC Nurse. The dizziness seemed to subside after a few days,  I have just started taking again, just one dose and the following day I am extremely dizzy?  Not really sure if linked or a coincidence?

  • Hello ChocolateChip,  Have been on anastrazole for about 11 months but no dizziness.  Just awful dry mouth at night and of course feeling hot.  I have sent you an excellent article that may help.  Hope you will feel better soon.

  • Thank you that Barb,  I have been getting headaches and higher BP too....   I also get a very dry mouth, have you tried XyliMelts....they are like a tablet/disc that you can stick to upper gum and it dissolves through the night to keep the mouth moist.. Best wishes

  • I was really dizzy on Femara (the original letrozole) which I tried to toside effects of the generics.  I found Accord was the last terrible brand and didn't make me dizzy.  It sounds like it is the reason for your side effects as high blood pressure can be a side effect too.  Mine is 140-155/75-88 when I take letrozole, and around 127-135/70-75.

  • Hi there,  no I have not tried XyliMelts but will give them a go.  Saw a coupon in paper for them the other day and cut it out so will use it.  Right now I use a gel from perioscience that my dental hygienist recommended but it doesn’t help much.  I am anxious to try it.  Take it easy and Happy Easter.
