Has anyone experienced similar feelings? I was diagnosed with ER+ breast cancer, had mastectomy and full node clearance, pet scan confirmed the all clear thankfully, then 6 rounds of chemo, 5 sessions of radiotherapy, finished December, and now taking Letrozole and Abemaciclib all adjuvant treatment, recently I feel as if I’m experiencing sensations in my other breast, it it hormonal, the medication?? Not painful sensations but hard to actually describe if that makes sense! Think paranoia kicks in at times which is understandable but I’ve checked my breast and no lumps, nipple normal etc, wish my brain would switch off at times, anyone felt the same?
Hi Halley
I had right mastectomy and node clearance . I had had MRI, CT with contrast, bone scan (radio active) and Muga Scan all clear.
I had chemo x 6, x15 radiotherapy and began Letrozole last May . Soon after I like you was feeling discomfort in remaining breast. I went for check up in July said I was having a bit of pain examined and said all was fine and the Letrozole can change breast tissue may think?
I had first mamagram in October and all clear. I returned to Clinic in February another examination and all ok. Slight pain still intermittent was told all ok.
I examine myself every day and all feels ok. My worry is I had Lobular cancer which doesn't always present as a lump or show on a mamagram until advanced. Hospital offers no checks other than this annually.
I guess I am paranoid about recurrence but I think it is the Letrozole
Still keep asking ️
Hi Ladies I’m exactly the same pain in my other breast not constant comes and goes . Even had it while I was on Chemotherapy. My oncologist said it was Hormones. I have had scans and mammogram . I also had Lobular on my next check up going to ask for MRI on my left breast .
Stay well love Belinda xx
Thank you so much for your reply, forgot to mention I’m also having monthly zoladex injection, mine was right side mastectomy and I’m also get slight discomfort on that side which I never really did before having the radiotherapy and starting on the tablets etc, I suppose it’s early days waiting for things to settle down and for my body to adjust, I’m going to see how it goes, can make yourself think things are there when brain goes into overload, I’m seeing my breast consultant beginning of April so will have a good chat with him, once again, thanks & take care x
Hi I get pain on mastectomy side tightness mainly it was due to radiation my soft tissue stuck to mt chest wall having special massage which is releasing it . I am also going to push for MRI next time. It has helped me to know others have the same. I also take Ibandronic acid meds daily we keep fighting on ️
