1st Radiotherapy Session Today

Hi all,

I had my 1st radiotherapy session this morning. I’m now experiencing a sore boob and painful arm & shoulder.

Is this something to expect after only one session? Also my chest area and boob have red patches in some areas.

I have moisturised with Aveeno, hope this cream is suitable.

Hi there

When I had radiotherapy I found aloe vera baby wipes really soothing and cooling as i found the area very sore like sunburn...xx

I had tenderness towards the end of my five sessions but my arms and shoulders ached. After the first session I took paracetamol about half an hour before my session started and this really helped me with the ache in my arms and shoulders. Just mention to the radiotherapists tomorrow about the red patches. My boob went very pink and warm after first session and they kept an eye on it in case of infection but it didn’t get any worse.
