Hey I’ve got very limited experience , I’ve only been on it for 12 days but I definitely have felt tired and the gastro issues … errr wow
My oncology nurse said to expect to feel tired , it may be the drugs but also the accumulation of a years treatment chemo / surgery/radiotherapy and that many many people feel really tired and fatigued at this point . Have the rest of your bloods been ok , ie you’re not anaemic or anything ?
xx
Yes I was warned about tiredness and exhaustion and to pay attention about being fit to drive…
Hi, well I'm off the drug till cells go back up they said nothing you can do but wait,so I have another blood test this Friday if not gone up have to have the injections you do yourself for three days beginning with F
Hi, yes I have definitely been really tired on Abemaciclib.I am now on my 6th cycle. Try to pace yourself but gentle exercise or a short walk seem to help me. The last two months I have had to have a break as my kidney function went down and I was having bouts of diahorrea 2 or 3 times a week. My consultant has decided to drop me to 100mg. I started yesterday so it will be interesting to see if the fatigue improves.
I’ve been on this for just 6 1/5 weeks. I cannot tell you how exhausting it has been. It builds and I’ve been that unwell that I was told by oncology nurse on Monday to stop taking it until my next appointment ocologist appointment on the 29th March. She said I will probably be restarted but on a lower dose. Unbelievably my bloods were normal. It’s been two days of not taking it and I’m still feeling unwell. I’ve lost heaps of weight in that time of starting it as I just cannot eat and have either been in bed all day or on the sofa under a blanket. I’ve not been out for weeks. This is ni life.
I Do hope you cope with it better than me. Many have hardly any side effects and I hope you are one of those. Take care. Xx
Hi Mibby, what dose are you on? It's hard isn't it this is the third time of restarting in this tablet my onclogist put me on 100mg right at beginning I will see how I get on this time was having blood tests every week now been told back to two weeks which is better. Hope you feel better soon wish you well x
