I have only been on anastrozole for 3 days and I have had horrendous dreams.so much so it is 3am here and I darent go back to sleep. Has anyone else found this please
It is a tricky one for us older ladies. I definitely don’t like the way Anestrozole seems to make my body feel much older but do I want to risk the cancer coming back? I will try and stay on it but it isn’t a given. Will just monitor it. I don’t sleep brilliantly but can’t say that my dreams have changed dramatically since I started Anestrozole in September last year.
Hi was on Anestrozole and just want feeling right. Not sleeping properly, having flash back in dreams stuck it for a year and when I went to have my first review i spoke to the doctor at the hospital, did try my gp but they judt smiled at me and nodded their head leaving me feeling not listened to. Cut long story short I'm now on a new one called Exemestane. At the moment no dreams and feeling so much better.
Don't suffer in silence speak to someone at the hospital and see if a change of tablet helps.
Hi, been on Anastrozole for about a year now ,I have had dreams but never put the two together. I get a he's and pains but I just put up with it really as I had arthritis before x
I’ve been on it 18 months now and I still hate taking it but I can tell you that different brands of anastrozole can have different side effects. Personally I have discovered that I can’t take the Crescent brand it makes me feel very headachy and tired (only figured that out yesterday after taking it for 6 weeks!). So I know it’s early days for you but assuming you continue try and keep track of whichever brands you are given and which has the least negative effect. All the best
I’m not taking it.I have Long Covid as well so am just shattered all the time without any more additions. The Covid effects are far worse than the breast cancer.
