Expanders to implants

Hi everyone,

so I’ve had my expanders removed and swapped to implants around two weeks ago. I feel great apart from today. Today I’ve had quite a few nerve type pains across both breast. Normal pain relief does not work. I don’t want to take any nerve pain medication- I wouldn’t be happy with the side effects. I know I can ring my breast care nurse but am just wondering if anyone has natural remedies to ease this up for me?

thanks Slight smile

  • Hi

I can't give any advice, but I see your post has dropped from the 1st page, so I am replying in the hope that someone is around to offer advice at the moment.

    Kindest wishes, Lesley

  • I can’t actually help with your question as you’re a few months ahead of me but I just wondered whether the implants are generally more comfortable than the expanders? I probably have my expanders in for another few months and I find them so uncomfortable! How long did you have to wait for your exchange surgery after you’d had your final fill? Hope the pain eases soon and you’re happy with the end result x

  •   they are much softer and more comfortable than the expanders. My expanders were put in fully inflated- in case I got an infection as I was high risk. That way they could be deflated to relieve pressure on the wound. The recovery this time has been so much easier and the pain was a lot less. That nerve pain has settled now too! I was private health insurance so I got my first surgery in September and my second just over 2 weeks ago. If you’ve any other questions feel free to pm me.
