If results come back as cancer I'm not sure what to do. Should I have lumpectomy on breast affected or full mastectomy on both. Worried that if just have lumpectomy on affected breast may have Cancer later in life in other breast or reassurance in original affected breast.
Anyone had similar.
Hi Travelling lady it might be worth asking to be tested for the BRCA gene which will tell if it’s in your genes or not. Usually when several close relatives have had it they push for the test. I’d speak to your BCN or consultant. It’s a simple blood test but I think the testing can take a while sometimes.
