Once my surgery is completed I’ll be having radiotherapy
I have a friend who had radiotherapy in New Zealand and they seem to swear by Mepitel film to reduce skin damage. She shared a published research report (albeit a small scale study) which showed it was very effective, however I’ve not seen this mentioned over here and wondered if anyone had been offered it?
Hi, sorry, no experience of that product. But when I had the planning appt. with the radiotherapist she was very reassuring about skin reactions - some people react but some don't, and they can't tell who will, although because I had small breasts (less chafing) she thought I'd be fine, and I was. The Cancer Centre also gave out a large tub of Aquamax cream which worked well for me.
