Hi I finished my treatment in the middle of November having had 4 rounds of EC and 12 treatments of Paclitaxel. From the latter I have ben left with numbness in my feet. Not surprisingly they get very cold. During the treatment they reduced the dosage strength by 15% as I was concerned about the side effects at the time. Any tips on coping with this would be helpful. I keep my feet as warm as possible. I have been told that it could take 2 years to get normal feeling back or it might never happen!!
Ideas please!!
Hi Ricki, sorry to hear you’ve been left with numbness from Paclitaxel. I had the same thing & also had my dose reduced in the hope that it would stave off longer term problems.
I had pac every 2 weeks for 4 cycles and finished 3 weeks ago. My feet are fine again & I don’t notice any problems now.
Hopefully yours will sort themselves out soon. I found using a hot water bottle helped. I had it under my feet while sitting on the couch - be careful not to have the bottle too hot though! I hope it resolves itself for you soon. Take care
