Hi
I finished BC stage 2a Grade 3 treatment in Nov 21 aside from meds.
Mammogram 2022 showed changes in the BC breast but ultrasound showed nothing of concern.
mammogram two weeks ago showed changes in both breasts so I go back to tomorrow for ultrasound and possibly a stereostatic biopsy x2 via mammogram.
I am terrified. Last core needle biopsy was painful and I have a needle phobia. I am going on holiday 3am the next day.
Anyone have any experience of this type of biopsy post lumpectomy, chemo etc?
Also, does anyone know if Letorozole can cause calcifications et ?
Thanks
Tennis girl,
I don’t know what this biopsy is - core needle biopsy is a bit painful - I think I broke the nurse’s fingers who was holding my hand !
It will soon be done - and you’re going away. Best wishes x
Hope all goes well. I had stereotactic biopsy after mammogram found microcalcifications but nothing since lumpectomy snd radiation. Did you have radiation to S that can cause changes to breast too? Never heard that letrozole causes calcifications. Have a great holiday too as the mental health break is healing.
I understand you are scared and that is normal but thinking positive thoughts for you and big hugs too.
Keep us posted.
