Hi , I’ve received my first adjuvant chemo treatment on Friday EC cycle , I have to say wasn’t as terrifying as I was expecting ! I was anxious days before and along with steroid and anti sickness tabs I ok , headachy and bit nauseous but manageable I now day 3 and have to inject myself for 7 days with ZARZIA syringes , really anxious doing this , had to look on YouTube haha to see how it’s done ) I’ve been explained to but felt a bit woozy when listening to nurse after chemo session ). Just wondering how others have got on with these injections , I may get my 22yr daughter to do them for me as she offered as she “practised on animals on her current uni course ! “ haha . Love and best wishes with recovery’s to you all xx
Hi Louise69 glad you have got the first one out of the way & haven’t felt too bad. Hopefully you’ll sail through this! I found pinching an inch or 2 from my side (not too close to middle of belly) is the best place & just jab! Some people suggest going in on an angle but that hasn’t made any difference ti me as I still get a small bruise. I also alternate which side each day. You do get used it once you’ve done it a couple of times! Good luck!
Did you find a best time in day /:evening to have injection ? X
