Hi, I was diagnosed with what they thought was dcis in December 22. I had 3 biopsies done and was told there were also invasive cells. A week ago I had a WLE with lymph node removal. I ended up also needing a drain put in. On my discharge letter it says my diagnosis is Left breast multiple foci of invasive carcinoma within lymphatic spaces. Background high grade apocrine DCIS with atypical apocrine adenosis. Does anyone understand what this means and what other treatment I might need? It’s so hard waiting for my next consultant appointment. Thank you xx
I would agree to the above. In terms of being available today I believe MacMillan's help line is open today. I am not sure about Breast Cancer Care. Both have clinical nurses available to talk to. I hope you get an answer soon.
Hello, I totally understand what you mean snd after I got my pathology report for DCIS I went straight to the American Cancer Society website and found what I needed. Hope this helps you too. Here is the link https://www.cancer.org/treatment/understanding-your-diagnosis/tests/understanding-your-pathology-report/breast-pathology/ductal-carcinoma-in-situ.html
Take care.
